Read the booklet "Deceived"

Hello there!
My name is Ivan, I'm 18 years old and I'm living in Herning.

I grew up in a Christian family and I've always been to church which I really enjoyed.

But through my childhood I almost never heard about Gods righteousness and His claim for holiness.

Sin was almost a taboo and the love of Jesus was always in focus. It's great to focus on the love of God but sadly because that was the only thing I heard of I lived in sin even though I knew it was wrong. But why stop? God has already forgiven me no matter what I do. That was the way I was thinking although inside I felt this wasn't right. "...but the other I know is doing the same" I thought.

"Deceived?"

One day I saw an advertisement in a Christian newspaper for a booklet called "Deceived?" I got curious and ordered the booklet. This was amazing! The scriptural passages in this booklet showed me that I actually never had been saved! Especially this made me think a lot:

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'  And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!" Matt. 7:21-23

I could see my self stand in front of God. I would say I had done good deeds but he would say "depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness". Because that was what I did. I had broke God's laws even though I was very familiar with the commandments. I had committed sin many times and I knew  it was wrong. I have always said because I "felt" into sin was because I wasn't strong enough to stand against the power of sin. The truth is I never had repented from sin and made Jesus to my Lord.

I had never repented and stopped living in sin. When I realized that I repented. I took all my illegal music, computer games, movies etc. and threw it all out. I cried out to God and asked him for forgiveness. After I did that I felt an inner peace.  A certainty that I now was truly saved.

After this my new life has been much more exciting than my old so called "Christan life."

Now I'm free and I don't have that condemnatory feeling I had before.

Now I'm experiencing people are getting healed when I'm praying for them. Demons leaving persons when I say they have to. I get answers of my prayers, people are listening  when I preach the gospel for them and God's plan for my life has been more clear.
The true life with God, I now live in is also a life where I every day can stand against Satan and his minions by saying no to ALL SIN that the Holy Spirit is reveling to me. This is a battle but in Christ I will be victorious EVERY time.

I want to say if my old life look like your life I want you to read "Deceived?"
